The Novel Studies
Start with Zach's story in 1692 Salem, then follow him into the present day. Each novel study stands on its own.
Transcendents Origins: Zachariah Shaw
Salem Village, 1692. As accusations tear the village apart, fifteen-year-old Zachariah Shaw notices what no one else does: a wealthy merchant named Morton Graedig is always nearby when things get worse. When Zach's mother is accused, he races to uncover the truth before it's too late…but Zach's story doesn't end at the gallows.

Our Standards
Our stories can depict real darkness, but never without hope built into the story itself.
Mature themes are welcome; gratuitous content is not. Every title has a clear age range and published content notes.
Stories that reinforce what your family is already building: courage, sacrifice, truth, and consequence.

Carolyn Johnston created Transcendents and wrote its study journals because she wanted stories her own community could trust: epic, honest about darkness, and built on hope. Legends & Heroes is how she brings them to homeschool families and co-ops.
Legends & Heroes is a public benefit company. Our purpose is to give families story-driven books and enrichment materials they can hand to their teens without pre-screening them first.
